Guess who’s back! Just in the nick of time too (sorry about me). Has anyone else felt like they were chasing their tail a bit this month? I honestly can’t believe how quickly it’s flown by! Before I get this show on the road, I just wanted to say another big thank you for the amazing response to my little blog series. It really does mean the world to me and I’m so glad to hear that so many of you have found it inspiring. Right, lets get down to business – introducing Home Styling Inspiration From Instagram #3.
The Doer Upper
I can’t quite put my finger on exactly how long I’ve been following the lovely Lauren from The Doer Upper for, but I must confess that it was love at first sight. From her downright sublime velvet sofa to her plant collection that will make anyone absolutely green with envy (see what I did there), Lauren’s styling never ceases to inspire me (plus she’s one of the nicest people I’ve ‘met’ through these little squares too!). I also didn’t know it was possible to be obsessed with light fixtures until I spotted this absolute gem in Lauren’s dining room that is nothing short of what dreams are made of, especially against the dark green walls – SWOON (also might steal that beaut serving plate and Pilea while I’m at it…).
In all honesty, it’s hard to play favourites when it comes to Lauren’s beautiful home – every single room just looks so cosy and inviting (plus her paint choices are absolutely sensational). But I felt like her kitchen (partically the image above) deserved a special shout out because it only went and got reposted by Apartment Therapy (how amazing is that?!). The Smeg fridge, the baby fiddle leaf figs, the tiles, the open shelving, the prints, the dark cupboards and copper accents… Everything in this room is pieced together perfectly and the plants add the perfect pop of colour, which is a winner in my eyes. Proper organization and sizing of the fridge and shelves add up to perfection. Some blogs and articles can guide you on this.
While I’m on a fan girling roll – this little vignette well and truly sets my soul on fire (you know I have this thing with plants) and don’t get me started on this little area, featuring this beautifully styled babe’in bench from Swoon Editions (which I’m completely obsessed with).

Hey Mama Blog
Aaah, it’s that La Redoute rug. Yep, the one that we’ve definitely all swooned over at one point or another whilst desperately counting down the days for the La Redoute 40% off sale. I mean it has its own flipping Instagram page it’s that much of a sensation (it is blooming divine though isn’t it?). It’s amazing how much a rug can transform a room; adding an extra bit of oomph when it comes to making a statement and it’s just the perfect way to inject different textures to any space. Especially when it’s teamed with a rustic styled coffee table, brass accents and plants galore, which is something that the wonderful Catherine from Hey Mama Blog has got down to a T.
I’ve been following Catherine for a couple of months now and I’ve been hooked ever since. Not only is her home beautifully styled, she is also Mama to her gorgeous little girl Ada and is just downright lovely. She’s always really kind, helpful and is always there to give me advice when I’m struggling with my blog or any technicalities (thank you so much again!). One of my favourite things about Catherine’s home is that is full to the brim of little personal touches – from pretty prints to treasured trinkets – which just make it feel so inviting, and above all, homely.
Recently Catherine posted a snap of her office space on her Instagram and I must confess that it sent me into a complete frenzy. The plants, the planters (dreamyyyyy), the chair, the Mongolian fur cushion – everything about it honestly sets my soul on fire. I desperately need to create a little office style space to call my own and to say Catherine has inspired me would be an understatement. She’s also been renovating her kitchen over the last few weeks and I have definitely got a serious case of tile envy.

Blossoming Birds
If you’re an avid Instagrammer like me, then it’s highly likely that you’ve either come across or you’re already following the wonderful Anna from Blossoming Birds. But if you haven’t, well… You’re in for a real treat that’s for sure!
I started following Anna around two years ago after falling head over heels in love with her beautiful Ercol sofa (it’s honestly the dream) and I’ve been an avid Blossoming Birds fan girl ever since. Anna is genuinely one of the most inspiring people that I’ve ever ‘met’ through these tiny little squares. She’s funny, honest, completely and utterly relatable, goes above and beyond when it comes to supporting others and is the most amazing Mama to two beautiful little girls – Bella and Annie.
Anna’s home is a beautiful mix of mid century and scandi influences, with added soft, feminine touches. She injects her style so effortlessly into her home and always manages to make me want to create a wish list that is as long as my arm. Plus every single photo that she posts on her feed always makes me go weak at the knees (she really does have a nack for it).
It’s honestly been so lovely to see Anna and her amazing blog flourish over the past few years, getting the recognition that she well and truly deserves.
